Launchpad: 1st Global and 2nd US Tobacco Endgame Summits 

This June, ASH hosted the 2025 Global Tobacco Endgame Summit in Dublin, Ireland, bringing together 150 leaders from governments, advocacy groups, and global agencies to accelerate the movement to phase out commercial tobacco sales. Speakers and participants discussed ways to partner beyond the tobacco control field—engaging human rights advocates, environmental organizations, and more to push the endgame forward worldwide. 

Key themes included tailoring endgame policies for different regions and the need for coordinated tools, resources, and funding. A growing consensus emerged: the question is no longer if we can achieve a tobacco-free future, but how. ASH is proud to help lead the way with its Project Sunset resource hub and Tobacco Endgame Policy & Advocacy Training Course. 

Building on this momentum, ASH will host the 2nd U.S. Tobacco Endgame Summit on August 25, 2025, in Chicago, Illinois.
